Alison Cook is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community education and support for vulnerable populations. Currently serving as a Senior Officer for the In Search of Safety Community Education Program at Australian Red Cross since June 2017, Alison leads initiatives that educate schools and communities about the complexities of asylum-seeking and forced migration. Previously held the position of National Lead for Community Education at WA Health, contributing to the Outcome Based Management Reform Project. Earlier roles include administrative and research support at various organizations, such as Gumala Aboriginal Corporation, UN Women, and World Vision Australia. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Justice, Politics, and International Relations from The University of Notre Dame Australia, a Certificate IV in Community Services from Polytechnic West, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Humanitarianism and Development at Deakin University.
