Melle Smith

Melle Smith is a seasoned choreographer and dance educator with extensive experience in both performance and teaching. Currently serving as the State Choreographer at the Australian School of Performing Arts and choreographer for the Junior Musical Theatre Program at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Melle also holds a position as Learning and Engagement Assistant at WA Museum Boola Bardip. Previous roles include dance teacher at La Salle College Perth and professional dancer at Lions Entertainment in Greece. Melle has a strong background in choreographing full-length musicals with Stray Cats Theatre Company and a rich history in various performing arts roles, including as a promotional officer and Icon Attractions Cast Member. Melle’s educational credentials include a Master’s in Arts & Cultural Management from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from The University of Western Australia, along with other qualifications in dance and performing arts.
