Dr John Coyne

Dr. John Coyne has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Dr John is currently an Expert at Enquir, a company focused on enhancing organizational knowledge efficiency through AI-powered platforms. Prior to that, Dr. Coyne served as a Board member for the ANU Criminology Industry Advisory Group at The Australian National University. Dr John also held positions such as Advisory Board Member at the International Security Expo 2019, Head of Northern Australia Strategic Policy Centre and CT Centre at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, and Advisor at Guidepoint. Additionally, Dr. Coyne worked as a Subject Matter Expert in Law Enforcement for the Abu Dhabi Excellence Program and as an International Consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Furthermore, they served as an Adjunct at Charles Sturt University and as a Subject Matter Expert Assessor for the Dubai Government Excellence Program. Earlier in their career, Dr. Coyne held the position of Coordinator Strategic Intelligence Services at the Australian Federal Police, where they were responsible for managing and leading intelligence collection and providing strategic intelligence to the AFP Executive.

Dr. John Coyne obtained their education from various institutions. Dr John completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Strategic Intelligence and Transnational Organized Crime from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2009 and 2014. In 2009, they also earned a Master of Justice degree in Intelligence from the same institution. Prior to that, in 2008 and 2009, they pursued a Master of Business Administration in HR from the University of New England (AU). In 2007, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management with a focus on Intelligence from Charles Sturt University. Dr. Coyne also holds a Bachelor of Justice degree in Intelligence from QUT, which they obtained between 1998 and 2002. Additionally, they have studied Ethics in Leadership at the ST James Ethics Centre from 2002 to 2003.
