Brooke Smith currently serves as the Acting Assistant Director at the Australian Taxation Office, leading the First Nations Support team within Inclusion and Diversity, HR Operations. With a strong focus on enhancing workforce cultural capability and supporting First Nations professionals, Brooke has a comprehensive background in diversity and inclusion initiatives. Previous roles include Diversity and Inclusion and Project Coordination Officer at the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Indigenous Liaison Officer at the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Brooke has also held positions within the Australian Taxation Office, including Chair of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employee Network and Client Engagement Officer, demonstrating a commitment to empowering Indigenous staff and fostering culturally safe work environments.
