David Camerlengo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in trade, investment, and innovation leadership. Currently serving as Minister Counsellor (Commercial) and Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner for the UK and Ireland at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) since July 2020, David leads initiatives in the technology and manufacturing sectors. Previous roles include Trade & Investment Strategist at the Local Government Association of Queensland and General Manager of Open Innovation at Unearthed, where David implemented innovation strategies for major corporate clients. David's background also encompasses significant positions at Trade and Investment Queensland and EGR, where responsibilities included market development in North America and establishing research and manufacturing capabilities. David holds a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering from Queensland University of Technology, supplemented by certifications in marketing strategy from Cornell University.
