Kate Young is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in strategic marketing and communications, particularly within the tourism and trade sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Marketing and Communications at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) since August 2020, Kate has been instrumental in helping Australian exporters diversify their markets. Previously, as the Global Marketing Manager for Study Australia and as the Manager of Australia’s Nation Brand, Kate contributed to enhancing Australia’s global brand and competitiveness. Additional roles include managing Austrade's global social media presence and executing marketing initiatives for the Brand Australia program. With a strong educational background including a Mini MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Tourism and Marketing from Charles Darwin University, Kate has successfully led marketing teams and campaigns across various organizations, including Destination NSW, Merlin Entertainments, and Tourism Australia.
