Derek Chu

Derek Chu is an experienced investment professional currently serving as the Head of American Real Assets and Head of American Infrastructure, Investments at AustralianSuper since November 2014. With a strong background in infrastructure investment, Derek has been instrumental in building the US infrastructure investment team and overseeing transaction origination and execution across the Americas. Prior roles include positions at United Hospital Fund of New York as a Finance Committee Advisor, board member at Generate, Executive Director at UBS Infrastructure Asset Management, and various roles at Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, Babcock & Brown, and UBS Investment Bank. Derek holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) and Bachelor of Laws degree in Finance from UNSW.
