Luke Mahoney

Luke Mahoney has extensive experience in operational risk management, currently serving as the Operational Risk Lead at AustralianSuper since February 2016, with progressive roles including Head of Operational Risk & Controls and Principal in the same department. Prior to AustralianSuper, Luke held the position of Principal Analyst at APRA, contributing to the development of supervisory methodologies for prudential supervision of superannuation. Luke also served as Team Leader in Custodian Services at National Australia Bank from 2000 to 2005. In addition to a successful career in finance, Luke has been the Senior Coach for Fitzroy Football Club men’s team, achieving significant accolades including a premiership in 2018 and AFL Vic Community Coach of the Year in 2022. Luke holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Business in Economics from Victoria University, and a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment from Kaplan Australia.
