Caity founded Authentic Social in 2016 while writing her Harvard Sociology honors thesis, "Virtual Impressions: The Effect of Digital Communication on Millennial Social Interaction". The thesis centered around virtual impressions and how they affect interpersonal relationships. Prior to pursuing Authentic Social full time, Caity was also the top sales development representative at LinkedIn during her time there in 2016-2017.
Caity is a 2021 Forbes Next 1000 Honoree (first class of 250) - Forbes award for top self-funded companies in United States. She is passionate about her ongoing sociological research, especially regarding conversation in the digital age, generations, and personal + professional relationships.
This research is leveraged to both continually improve and add to Authentic Social's processes, as well as to share with a broader audience. Caity started Authentic Social SIPS & SUPPER in early 2022 to further pursue these interests. In her free time, Caity enjoys photography and art (she is a member of The Metropolitan Museum's Apollo Circle and the Museum of Modern Art's Junior Associates). She is also involved in advocacy work centering around gun safety as a public health issue, as well as "Career Convos with Caity" - free sessions to connect people with job opportunities and tips.
