George Lockwood has worked in the tech industry since 1984, starting as a TV Meteorologist for WPSX TV - Penn State Weather Communications Group. From 1987 to 1992, they worked as a Senior Programmer and Analyst for Longs Drugs, Inc. In 1993, they took a break from tech to work as a Tennis professional at Pebble Beach Beach & Tennis Club. From 1995 to 1999, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager for Systems West, Inc. In 2000, they joined Burst.com, Inc. as a Software Development Manager for the Front End Group. In 2006, they joined EarthLink as a Lead Client Developer. In 2008, they joined Account Maven as a Senior Software Development Manager - Client Architect. In 2010, they joined Symantec as a Senior Manager Software Development and boosted sales and morale as Senior Manager and (acting) Director. In 2012, they joined SL Corporation as Director of Software Engineering. In 2016, they founded GreenFlashIdentity. In 2018, they joined Copia (startup) as an Adviser Product and Engineering. In 2021, they joined Trusty.care as Vice President of Engineering and Authentic8 as Vice President Of Engineering. At each of these roles, they have applied best practices, inspired teams, and led engineering teams towards delivering best-in-class software products.
George Lockwood began their educational career at Carmel High School, graduating in 1977. George then attended the University of Southern California from 1979 to 1981. After this, they attended Penn State University from 1982 to 1986, earning a degree in Atmospheric Physics (Meteorology).
