Katherine Hobbs, MD MPH, serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Author Health since 2022. Katherine has held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University School of Medicine since 2015 and is a Board Member at both the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine and Well. Hobbs contributes as an Advisor for Flourish Health and previously held leadership roles including CEO of Optum Behavioral Care at UnitedHealth Group and Chief of Behavioral Health at Blue Cross NC. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer at Alliance Behavioral Healthcare and Attending Physician at Children’s National Health System. Katherine Hobbs holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University.

Author Health is the first platform to provide comprehensive care and treatment for Medicare Advantage recipients with serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders (SUD).
