The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets
Rob van der Noll has a diverse work experience in the field of economics. Rob began their career as an Economist at CPB Netherlands Bureau of Economic Policy Analysis in 2004 and worked there until 2006. Rob then joined ABN AMRO as a Market Risk Analyst from 2006 to 2007. After that, they worked as an Associate at RBB Economics from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they were a Senior Researcher at SEO Economic Research. In 2016, they joined The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets as a Senior Economist in various roles, including being a part of the Chief Economist team and the Task Force Healthcare.
Rob van der Noll began their education at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. In 1999, as part of the Erasmus Programme, they attended Stockholm University, where they studied Economics and Political Science. Rob then returned to Erasmus University Rotterdam to complete their Master of Science degree in Economics from 1996 to 2000. Continuing their academic journey, Rob van der Noll obtained a Master of Philosophy degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam between 2000 and 2002. Additionally, in 2003, they briefly attended the University of Oxford, focusing on Economics at Nuffield before earning their Doctorate degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2006.

The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (Autoriteit Consument & Markt) is an independent authority that creates opportunities and options for businesses and consumers alike. Consumers may contact the ACM for free information and advice. For example, you may run into problems with a company. You can report your problems to consumer information desk ConsuWijzer . ConsuWijzer will advise you on how you can solve those problems. Based on that advice, you will know what your rights are, and how you can exercise them. If it turns out that, based on your complaint, the company in question has violated the law, we can step in and take action. The Netherlands Consumer Authority, the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) and the Netherlands Independent Post and Telecommunications Authority (OPTA) joined forces on april 1st 2013, creating a new regulator: the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
