Autism Ontario
Rachel Halpern is a Program Facilitator at Beaches Sandbox, where Rachel leads Science, Art, Crochet, and Adapted Programming for adults with disabilities. Rachel also works as a Data Visualization Specialist at George Brown College and as a Program Facilitator at Autism Ontario. Rachel previously served as a Graphic Designer at Halpern Wine, a Art Director at Camp Shalom, a Curator at 4Cats, and Head of Drama Program at Camp Shalom. Rachel holds a degree in Life Sciences with a specialization in Drug Discovery & Human Toxicology from Queen's University, a degree in MaCS (Math and Computer Science) from William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Interactive Media Management from George Brown College.

Autism Ontario (legally incorporated as Autism Society Ontario) is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario.
