Kristen Apen

Kristen Apen is an experienced nonprofit professional currently serving as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Chapter for Autism Speaks since March 2016, where responsibilities include developing and executing fundraising plans, evaluating strategies, and championing best practices. Prior to this role, Kristen held the position of Manager of Field Development in New Jersey, successfully achieving revenue goals for various fundraising events. Kristen's earlier experience includes serving as Development Officer for Special Events at Georgian Court University from January 2014 to March 2016, where Kristen managed the Golf Classic event to benefit student scholarships, and as Senior Director of Special Events at the American Cancer Society from December 2006 to November 2013, overseeing income development staff and maximizing event income through sponsorships. Kristen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Cabrini University.
