David Griffin

Transition Skills Grant Coordinator at Autism Tennessee

David Griffin serves as the People First - TN Coordinator at The Arc Tennessee since 2014, where responsibilities include recruiting self-advocates with disabilities, managing staff, planning advocacy efforts, and facilitating statewide meetings. Griffin has also worked as a Project Specialist in Self-Advocacy, designing job club events for individuals with disabilities, and as a People-to-People Interviewer, assessing quality of life for individuals with emotional and intellectual disabilities. Additional experience includes serving as the Transition Skills Grant Coordinator for Autism Tennessee and a substitute teacher within Metro Nashville Public Schools, focusing on special needs students. David Griffin's earlier roles also include consulting at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and providing support as a reader and scribe at Nashville State Community College. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University.
