Ben McCarthy

Ben McCarthy is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in product engineering and technical direction within the automotive and retail sectors. Currently serving as Engineering Director at Auto Trader UK since November 2013, Ben has played a pivotal role in developing digital retailing products and enhancing customer tools and billing systems. Prior roles at Auto Trader include Head of Engineering for Customer Experience and Operations, and Customer Experience & Operations Lead, where responsibilities encompassed leadership in critical systems and strategic technical direction. Ben’s previous positions at Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, Trader Media Group, CDL Limited, and Valueworks Ltd have further solidified expertise in innovative technology solutions and application development. Ben holds a 1st Class degree in Computer Science from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
