Daniel Plant

Daniel Plant is an experienced data analyst with a strong background in quantitative analysis and algorithm development. Currently serving as Principal Data Analyst at Auto Trader UK since November 2017, Daniel has previously held positions as Lead Risk & Trading Analyst and Senior Risk & Trading Analyst at Paddy Power Betfair, as well as Senior Trading Analyst at Betfair. Daniel's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics from the University of Southampton and a Master of Physics (MPhys) from Lancaster University. Prior to industry roles, Daniel worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Oxford and as an Undergraduate Problems Class Demonstrator at the University of Southampton, where teaching encompassed various topics in physics.
