Farooq Durrani

Farooq Durrani has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Farooq currently holds the position of Partner Operations Director | Automotive Finance at Auto Trader UK. In this role, they are responsible for building an online consumer finance journey and retailer fintech platform. Prior to this, Farooq served as the Automotive Finance Senior Leadership - Product & Operations at Auto Trader UK, where they had a hybrid senior leadership role overseeing various aspects of the business including product, operations, partnerships, compliance, commercial, and legal. Farooq has also held the role of Head of Product Delivery - E-Commerce at Auto Trader UK, where they were responsible for digital new product development.

Before their tenure at Auto Trader UK, Farooq held various positions at different companies. Farooq served as a Program Manager - Governance, Risk and Compliance at Auto Trader Group, leading data champions and implementing several policies and procedures. Farooq also worked as a Program Manager - People Services at Auto Trader Group, where they oversaw the implementation of core HR functions and launched an employee benefits platform.

Farooq's earlier work experience includes working as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Auto Trader UK, an Infrastructure Consultant at Syngenta, an Infrastructure Engineer at Airtours and Atos Worldgrid, and the Head of Product Marketing at Co-op. Farooq has also worked as a Product Marketing Manager at Safeway and an Account Director Middle-East - Land Rover at McCann Worldgroup (Dubai). Earlier in their career, Farooq served as an Account Manager Europe: General Motors Europe at Broadway Communications Group.

Farooq Durrani attended Hazelwick Secondary School from 1982 to 1989. From 1989 to 1993, they pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies at Kingston University, achieving a 2.1 classification.
