Alex Bicalho

Alex Bicalho has extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership, currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering for Developer Platform Services at Autodesk since September 2019. In this role, Alex oversees the team's strategy and execution, focusing on CI tools, Deployment Automation, Observability, API Management, and Database Administration, while ensuring Security and Compliance. Prior to this position, Alex held roles including Director of Engineering and Forge Run Platform Lead at Autodesk, with similar responsibilities. Before joining Autodesk, Alex owned Origamy Design, specializing in architectural illustrations and consulting for Autodesk Latin America, and served as Director at Image In Action Consultoria. Alex holds an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a Tech High School diploma in Building Constructions from Liceu de Artes e Oficios.
