Hilmar Koch

Hilmar Koch is currently engaged in Autodesk Research, focusing on Media and Entertainment Industry Futures, where they apply foresight to shape desirable futures in collaboration with visionary partners. Previously, Hilmar held multiple roles at Industrial Light & Magic, including CG Department Supervisor TD from 2007 to 2013 and Technical Director from 1998 to 2003. They also served as Director of Virtual Production and Head of Computer Graphics at the same company. Hilmar's past experience includes leadership positions at Autodesk and Lucasfilm, as well as work at Blue Sky Studios as a Digital Effects Supervisor. Hilmar earned their education at the Technical University of Munich from 1989 to 1992.
