Jayashan Abeyweera

Jayashan Abeyweera is a mechanical engineer with diverse experience in production and utility engineering. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer in Production at Autogroup International since 2025, Jayashan previously held the position of Utility Engineer at Navesta Pharmaceuticals from June 2023 to May 2024. Prior to that, Jayashan worked at Ceylon Steel Corporation as an Assistant Engineer, overseeing the maintenance of a rolling mill and overhead cranes. Earlier roles include Assistant Mechanical Engineer at Autogroup International (Pvt) Ltd, focusing on automotive conversion projects, and training as an Automobile Engineer at UNITED MOTORS LANKA PLC. Jayashan began with an industrial training as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer at Dockyard General Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd. Educational qualifications include a BSc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management from the University of Colombo.
