Matthew Belson, EIT has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Matthew worked as a Sr. Project Engineer at Automated Control Concepts, Inc. starting in November 2019. Before that, they created and developed a mobile phone app called Rush Hour Traffic Counter, which aimed to replace expensive hardware traffic surveying equipment with a low-cost app. Matthew also worked as a Mechanical Designer at DJM Consulting Engineering from July 2019 to October 2019, where they sized and laid out plumbing and sprinkler systems for residential and commercial projects. Prior to that, they were a Project Engineer at The Bell Company from May 2016 to June 2019, where they provided cost estimates and conducted equipment takeoffs for plumbing and med gas projects. Additionally, they worked as a Traffic Surveyor at Lenhart Traffic Consulting from May 2013 to May 2016, where they collected traffic data and is currently developing an Android app based on this experience. Matthew also gained experience in IT and telecommunications when they worked as a Telecommunications Assistant at Victaulic in 2014. Furthermore, they worked in the mailroom at Villanova University from August 2013 to May 2014 and as a Food Line Associate at Panera Bread during summers 2012 and 2013.
Matthew Belson, EIT, obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University. Matthew attended Villanova University from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Matthew completed their High School education at Severna Park Senior High School from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they also hold several certifications including Engineer In Training (EIT) from the Maryland Department of Labor, obtained in October 2019, an OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification from ClickSafety, obtained in August 2018, and a LEED Green Associate certification from Green Business Certification, Inc., obtained in August 2019.
