Erica Wertanen, SPHR, CTB has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Erica is currently the Director of Human Resources at Automated Logistics Systems, LLC. In this role, they are responsible for driving performance and ensuring the right people are in the right seats. Prior to this, they served as the Human Resources Manager for US Operations at Exo-s, where they provided strategic leadership and collaborated closely with business leaders to create a safe environment for employees. Erica also has experience as the Director of Human Resources at Physicians Hospital System and as the Human Resources Manager at Dometic Group. Erica has worked in various HR roles at companies such as Elkhart Products Corporation, North American Signs, Inc., Crowe Horwath LLP, Oaklawn Psychiatric Center, Goshen Health System, and Madison Center, Inc. Throughout their career, Erica has managed various aspects of HR, including compliance, benefit administration, employee relations, recruiting, training, and safety.
Erica Wertanen, SPHR, CTB, has a diverse education history. Erica attended Ferris State University from 1987 to 1992 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration. During the same period, they also pursued an Associate's degree in Legal Assistant from Ferris State University, which they completed in 1990. Prior to their university education, Erica Wertanen attended Coloma High School from 1984 to 1987, focusing on College/University Preparatory studies.
In addition to their academic achievements, Erica Wertanen holds two professional certifications. In 2004, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Furthermore, in 2019, they earned the Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) certification from the Transportation Intermediaries Association.
