Hendrik Smits

Hendrik Smits is an experienced professional in the field of energy storage, battery applications, and hydrogen technology, currently serving as both a lecturer at NXT-PRO and the head of the Green Power Lab at SYNTRA Midden-Vlaanderen. With a career spanning several decades, Hendrik has held various managerial positions, notably as SL Manager of Innovation at Automation and as a partner at Pro-Ondernemer Nederland. Prior experience includes roles at Johnson Controls, ADC (Tyco Electronics), Anixter, Getronics, Telesur, and Honeywell, encompassing responsibilities in operational development, technical training, and project management. Hendrik holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universiteit Antwerpen and a Master’s in Industrial Management from EHSAL Management School Brussels.
