Suso Bravo-Alvarez

Suso Bravo-Alvarez is a Platform Engineer at Automattic. Prior to their current role, Suso served as an Engineering Manager at Tuenti, where they oversaw five platform/backend teams totaling 30 engineers. Suso's responsibilities included database storage, capacity planning, high availability, performance, and reliability. Suso also oversaw realtime communication, push notifications, chat for client support, and async two-way API. In addition, Suso managed release management, continuous integration workflows, and developer tools.

Previously, Suso worked as an engineer at Indra and Telefonica I+D. Suso's responsibilities included all areas described in their previous role as tech lead. Suso began their career as a developer at Andago in September 2000.

Suso Bravo-Alvarez has a degree in engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (U.N.E.D.), a technical engineering degree in computer systems from the same school, and an engineering degree in telecommunications from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
