Byron McClaugherty

Byron McClaugherty is a seasoned tax professional with over 24 years of experience in income tax accounting and compliance. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Income Tax Accounting & Compliance at AutoNation since April 2018, Byron has previously held the role of Director of Tax Accounting & Compliance at the same company. Prior experience includes positions as Director and Manager of Tax at The GEO Group, Inc. from October 2003 to April 2018, and Sr. Tax Accountant at KPMG from July 1999 to October 2003. Byron holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from the University of Central Florida.
