Shannon Whitney

Shannon Whitney has been working in education for over a decade, starting as a 6th grade teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools. During their time there, they developed curriculum, utilized a flipped classroom, and communicated regularly with parents, teachers, and other staff. In 2017, they left Fairfax County to become the Director of Outreach for Student Caffé. In this role, they focused on developing partnerships with school systems and higher education opportunities. Shannon also authored blogs and developed and promoted content on social media. In December 2017, Shannon Whitney left Student Caffé to join American Association for Clinical Chemistry as an Education Specialist. In this role, they again focused on developing partnerships with school systems and higher education opportunities. Shannon also authored blogs and developed and promoted content on social media. In September 2019, Shannon Whitney left American Association for Clinical Chemistry to become a Program Manager at AUVSI.

Shannon Whitney earned a Masters in Education from the University of Florida.
