Principal Cloud Architect

Position Overview:

As a Principal Cloud Architect at Auxo, your responsibilities encompass supporting engineers and clients in building strong secure infrastructures and automating as much of the systems as possible. Your role involves close collaboration with diverse teams, including engineers, technical project managers, development teams and clients. The primary objective is to guarantee the delivery of top-tier applications and infrastructures that consistently exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and implementing infrastructures for Auxo and clients as needed
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats and meet the security requirements for each clients and Auxo's particular needs
  • Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Working with Unqork engineers to ensure access and CI/CD solutions work as best as possible for their needs
  • Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Leading a team of engineers that work on various cloud projects architecturally and working through problems with each team
  • Leverage Terraform and similar technologies to develop systems that can be easily promoted to various environments
  • Propose and present solution recommendations, offering technical guidance to project teams.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continually enhancing skills to contribute to project success.
  • Manage and hire for roles as they come up in the cloud space

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years' of software engineering and/or cloud experience

  • Expertise with DevOps CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Azure Pipelines, Github Actions, etc.

  • Expertise coding in common languages like Python, Java, Javascript, C# or similar.

  • Strong understanding of identity federation, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and related authentication protocols.

  • Experience working with AWS, GCP or Azure

  • Experience working with Serverless systems leveraging Lambda, Azure Functions, or similar

  • Experience developing with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code

  • Experience working with Security Frameworks like SOC and NIST

  • Experience managing and hiring teams

  • Experience working with clients
