Banafshe Hejazi

Banafshe Hejazi is an experienced professional in the fields of human rights, development, and digital disinformation. Currently serving as a Learning & Development Officer and People & Culture Officer at Avaaz since March 2019, Banafshe has previously held roles as a human rights strategist for Stockholms stad and operations development officer at Riksteatern. Additional experience includes program officer positions at the International Fellowship of Reconciliation and a gender methodologist role with Solidaridad Suecia-America Latina. Banafshe's academic background includes a Master of Laws in Law and Politics of International Security from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and dual Bachelor's degrees in Gender Studies from Södertörn University and Human Rights and Democracy from University College Stockholm.
