Sophie Brown

Sophie Brown is a Scientist at Avacta since April 2023, with a robust academic and research background in Biochemistry and Molecular Cancer Mechanisms. Sophie completed a PhD project at University College London (UCL) as part of the Wellcome Trust PhD program, which included rotation projects in computational biology, structural biology, and chemical biology under renowned professors. Prior research experience includes positions as a Summer Research Student at The Francis Crick Institute and the University of Dundee, studying DNA replication and the regulation of flowering time, respectively. Additionally, Sophie served as a Chief Editor for the Young Scientists Journal, leading an international team and managing the publication process. Academic credentials include a Master of Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences, also from the University of Cambridge.
