Evan Johnson

Evan Johnson, PhD, serves as the Director of People Analytics at Avalara since September 2025. Previously, Evan held significant roles at Fannie Mae, including Director of People Analytics and Director of HR Technology and Analytics, where responsibilities encompassed leading business intelligence, workforce planning, and employee listening initiatives. At Meta, responsibilities as Global Head of People Data Intelligence & Reporting included forming and managing a global analytics team, developing critical reporting systems and dashboards, and driving a consulting model for people analytics. Evan's early career features internships and managerial roles at RTI International, North Carolina State University, and the National Institutes of Health. Academically, Evan earned three degrees from North Carolina State University, including a PhD in Organizational Behavior, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence with a 4.0 GPA in both doctoral and master’s programs.
