Emer Power

Emer Power is a Lead Medical Writer at Avalere Health since February 2023, with a previous role as a Senior Medical Writer. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientific Writer at Novartis from September 2020 to February 2023, focusing on the preparation of scientific and medical deliverables. Emer contributed to the Cannabis and Cannabinoids Task Force at the International Association for the Study of Pain in 2020, engaging in data extraction and reconciliation for a systematic review. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Galway, complemented by a Master’s degree in Neuropharmacology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Emer has also held various positions in teaching, curriculum development, and student organizations, emphasizing mental health advocacy and community engagement.
