Michelle Altenau

Michelle Altenau serves as the Corporate Legal Counsel at Avalere Health, leading legal strategies for 16 companies in North America with a focus on commercial and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA and privacy laws. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Corporate Counsel at Elligo Health Research and Corporate Counsel at the University of Cincinnati Research Institute, where Michelle established the Contracts Department. Additional positions include site budget and contract management at Medpace, document review attorney at UnitedLex, and law clerk roles at the Ohio 2nd District Court of Appeals and the Federal Communications Commission. Michelle holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Cincinnati.
