Jon Bates has over 20 years of experience in the business industry. From 1999 to 2002, they were the Plant Manager at Saint Gobain Corporation where they managed 80 employees through five direct reports and contributed substantially to the increase of profit before tax from 2.5% to 17%. In 2002, they founded American Snowboard Technology, LLC, where they wrote the business plan and successfully raised capital to launch the business. Jon managed all aspects of production and distribution and developed new business through direct sales and the use of guerrilla marketing. From 2004 to 2005, they were the President of 2Toms, LLC, where they directed manufacturing, purchasing, new business development, sales, marketing, finance, distribution, product development, and personnel. Jon decreased COGS sold from 50%-38% and wrote business plans and maintained excellent working relationships with investors and bankers. From 2005 to 2014, they were the Vice President of Sales/Operations at Amtek Data Corp, where they were recruited to turn around a distressed business. Jon managed a $2M budget while directing 30 employees through 10 direct reports and led the business from 5 years of losses to 7 consecutive years of 8-10% net profit. From 2018 to 2019, they were the Vice President of CloudDOCX. In 2019, they became the Eastern Regional Business Development Manager at InStream. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Avalon.

Jon Bates completed their education history with a Graduate degree from the University of Denver Graduate School in Education, which they obtained in 1994. Before that, they earned a BA in Biology/Chemistry from the University of Denver in 1993. Jon's education history began with a period of study at SUNY Canton in Biology from 1988 to 1990.
