Andy Folsom

Andy Folsom joined BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina (BCBSSC) in Columbia, SC in 2009. He currently serves as AVP, Strategic Investments and M&A, and also as President of Companion Capital Management, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of BCBSSC. Prior to this role, Andy worked in the Law Department at BCBSSC as AVP and Deputy General Counsel. Before joining BCBSSC, Andy worked as a corporate transactional attorney at Alston & Bird in Atlanta, GA. Andy holds a BA from Washington and Lee University and a JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

In addition to his role at BCBSSC, Andy currently serves as a Board member at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee member), United Way of the Midlands, Salute from the Shore (Chairman), Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina (Executive Committee member), and Riverbanks Zoo Society (Executive Committee member).
