John Adams

As Chief Financial Officer of Avalon Healthcare Solutions, John Adams is responsible for the company’s day-to-day financial and accounting functions. He plays a strategic role in the company’s overall management, including shaping payor contracts, customer pricing strategies, broader business model decisions, and future M&A opportunities.

Prior to joining Avalon in December of 2018, John served as CFO of California-based Medicare Advantage plan Alignment Healthcare, as well as of clinical laboratory services company Accumen. His other leadership roles have included EVP & COO at marketing services company Acxiom; EVP of Business Solutions at healthcare software company Eclipsys; and CFO of AT&T Business Services. John’s experience ranges from global, multi-billion-dollar businesses to start-ups and young high-growth companies backed by private equity investors. Early in his career, John worked with EDS in various financial and operational roles for 15 years.

John has a BA in economics from the University of Exeter (UK). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
