Wally Haas

Wally Haas is the Founder and President of Avalon Holographics, a company established in January 2015 that focuses on developing a comprehensive technology stack for holographic displays, aimed at addressing real-world problems. Prior to this role, Wally served as a Senior Director at Intel Corporation from December 2010 to December 2014, overseeing transport solutions and managing the Newfoundland Technology Centre. Wally is also the Founder of Avalon Microelectronics, which grew from a basement office to a successful company with over 30 employees and $4 million in annual revenue before being acquired by Altera (now Intel) in December 2010. Additional experience includes roles at Cathexis Innovations, AMCC, EPD/PMC-Sierra, and Nortel, covering areas such as RFID systems, synthesis and verification engineering, FPGA design, and digital/analog design. Wally holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary, obtained from 1993 to 1998.
