Anders Almkvist

Anders Almkvist is a Mechanical Design Engineer currently employed at Avalon Innovation since May 2025. Prior to this role, Anders worked as an R&D Engineer at Öhlins Racing AB from January 2021 to May 2025 and as a Product Development Engineer and Master Thesis Student at Sandvik Coromant between January 2017 and January 2021, focusing on the effects of flash and burr on carbide insert tool life in metal cutting. Earlier experience includes serving as a Machine Operator at Sandvik Mining and Construction from June 2011 to August 2012, where responsibilities involved surface treatment, straightening, and inspection of drilling rods. Anders holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology (2012 - 2017) and completed a preparatory year at Linköping University (2011 - 2012).
