James Keefe

James Keefe is an experienced professional in retail leasing and real estate, currently serving as Director of Retail Leasing at AvalonBay Communities since June 2022, where the focus includes national placemaking and leasing across a diverse mixed-use portfolio. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Account Director at Beta Agency, where James specialized in specialty retail and urban mixed-use projects, and as an Associate at CBRE, concentrating on urban projects and street retail. James also enjoyed a successful collegiate basketball career at UCLA, marked by multiple honors and leadership roles, as well as brief stints as a professional basketball player.
