Carla de Giorgio

Carla De Giorgio has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in the technology and engineering sectors. Most recently, they worked at Avaloq as the Head of Financial Instruments & Position Keeping, where they led a team and promoted Agile values and practices. Prior to that, they were a Chapter Lead at Avaloq, managing and developing teams involved in banking software product development and maintenance.

Before joining Avaloq, Carla worked at GE Power as the Talent, Graduate, and Learning Programs Manager. In this role, they oversaw the setup and execution of the flagship talent pipeline rotational program for Switzerland. Carla also managed talent assessment, onboarding, career planning, and offboarding for program participants.

At Alstom, Carla served as the Competencies Development Manager, where they supported engineering communities with training needs analysis and knowledge sharing networks. Carla also coordinated an international network of training centers for common processes alignment.

Earlier in their career, Carla held management positions at Espros Photonics AG, NXP Semiconductors, Philips, and STMicroelectronics, where they gained experience in design engineering and project management.

Carla De Giorgio obtained a MSc in Electronic Engineering - Microelectronics from Politecnico di Bari in 1999. From 2010 to 2012, they pursued a MAS degree in Human Resource Management from Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW / School of Business FHNW. Additionally, Carla has obtained various certifications, including the Professional Agile Leadership™ I (PAL I) and the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in 2022. Carla also holds certifications in finance, leadership, neuroscience, HR, and other areas from institutions such as edX, LinkedIn, and SAP.
