Thomas Zuercher

Thomas Zuercher has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Thomas started their career as an FX and time deposit back office clerk and assistant FX trader at Appenzell ARh. Kantonalbank. Thomas then worked at Bank Prokredit AG, where they served as Assistant to the CFO and later as a Financial Controller. Thomas joined GE Capital Bank Switzerland AG as Head Finance Controlling before moving to Credit Suisse. At Credit Suisse, Thomas held various roles, including Head Controlling CSPB IT & Operations, Head Controlling CSFS Operations, and Head Controlling Private Banking Global Operations. Thomas also served as Head Private Banking Backunit Controlling and Head Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Operations Finance Switzerland. After leaving Credit Suisse, Thomas took a sabbatical and then joined Avaloq Evolution AG as Division Controller and Financial Business Partner. Thomas later became the HR IT and Analytics Lead at Avaloq Evolution AG. Throughout their career, Thomas gained expertise in financial controlling, cost allocation, MIS systems, and business integration.

Thomas Zuercher completed their Bachelor's degree in Betriebsoekonom HWV with a focus on FP&A and IT from FHS St. Gallen, University of applied sciences from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they participated in language improvement programs at Bell College Saffron Walden and Regency School of English in 1987. From 1984 to 1986, Thomas completed a Trainee Program for High School graduates at Appenzell ARh. Kantonalbank. Thomas obtained their Matura type E in economics from Highschool of Appenzell ARh.
