Kim Freeman

Chief Development Officer at Avamere Family of Companies Inc.

Kim Freeman joined the Avamere Family of Companies in 2018. Before joining Avamere, she worked for over 20 years in the development industry as a city planner and as a senior management analyst for companies like the City of Portland.

As Avamere’s Chief Development Officer, Kim runs Point Development Company (PDCo). PDCo expands real estate in new and existing markets for the Avamere Family of Companies (AFC), in line with AFC’s goals for growing their continuum of care in certain markets. Kim and her team collaborate with AFC to ensure they develop in communities that will best benefit AFC. PDCo also provides continued support by helping manage assets through capital expenditure work.

Kim brings over 20 years of development industry experience to her role. With a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Portland State University, Kim has worked in development services and project management. She brings expertise in facilitating large complex projects and in managing stakeholder engagement. Kim enjoys bringing multiple interests together and finding the path forward. With a passion for building successful teams, Kim empowers her team to achieve great things.

When she’s not working, you can find her spending time outdoors hiking and horseback riding.
