Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in developing interactive educational technologies. Currently at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris plays a key role in a cross-functional team focused on creating hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and related devices. Previous positions include firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, where firmware and diagnostic tools were developed for educational solutions, and electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, contributing to the design and repair of educational devices. Chris also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting hands-on labs in electronic circuits, and worked as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, specializing in control systems for forestry equipment. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
