Virginia Hernanz Martinez has over 16 years of work experience in project management, planning, cost control, and portfolio analysis. Virginia started their career in 2004 as a Cost Controller at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction, where they were responsible for managing project costs, monitoring budgets, and proposing corrective measures. Virginia then joined Iberdrola Energy Projects as a Project Analyst, where they continued to control portfolio costs and monitor budget deviations. In 2015, they joined AVANGRID, Inc. as a Manager of Planning and Cost Control, overseeing planning and cost control in substation projects. Virginia also led major size projects, ensuring they were completed on time and within budget. In their most recent role at Avangrid Renewables, Virginia serves as the Director of Project Support, responsible for providing support to projects and ensuring effective management and decision-making.
