Scott Galovan

SVP, Strategy & M&A at Avanos Medical

Scott Galovan is the Senior Vice President of Strategy and M&A at Avanos Medical where he leads the organization in global strategy, mergers & acquisitions, minority investing and other inorganic investment opportunities that support the company’s strategic and commercial priorities. He also plays a key role in other strategy and finance responsibilities, including the Company’s strategic business planning process and investor relations.

Since joining the company at the spinoff from Kimberly-Clark, Scott led the sale of the Surgical & Infection Prevention business to Owens & Minor, as well as the acquisitions of CORPAK, Game Ready, Summit Medical, NeoMed, OrthogenRx and other minority investments. Throughout his career, Scott has completed transactions totaling more than $2 billion in value.

Prior to Avanos, Scott held various strategy, finance and M&A roles, including Corporate Development Director at Newell Brands; Principal at Equity Pacific Partners; Investment Director at Intel Capital; and as investment banker.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s of business administration from the University of California at Los Angeles where he was a Venture Fellow.
