Heidi Zuckerman

Heidi Zuckerman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the art industry. Heidi is currently the CEO and Director of OCMA / Orange County Museum of Art since January 2021. In addition, they also hold the role of Art Commissioner at the City of Costa Mesa as of November 2022.

Prior to their current positions, Heidi Zuckerman has held various roles including Board Director and Chief Strategic Adviser at Avant Arte, Founder and CEO of The Why Art Matters Project, Board Director at Best & Co., and Board Director at Kelly Klee Private Insurance. Heidi has also worked as a Planning Consultant at Beirut Museum of Art - BeMA.

Heidi Zuckerman has significant leadership experience as the CEO and Director of Aspen Art Museum from July 2005 to September 2019, where they presented innovative contemporary art exhibitions and engaged audiences through education and public programs. Before that, they served as the Chair of the Curatorial Department at Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, contributing to critical dialogue and community engagement through art and film.

Heidi'searly career includes being an Assistant Curator of 20th Century Art at The Jewish Museum, where they worked on preserving and interpreting the artistic and cultural heritage of the Jewish people.

Heidi Zuckerman's education history begins with their Bachelor of Art degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania, which was completed in 1989. Heidi furthered their education by attending Hunter College from 1995 to 1997 and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Art History. In 2018, they enrolled in the Harvard Business School Executive Education program, specifically studying "Women on Boards." Currently, in 2019, they are attending the Stagen Leadership Academy for the Advanced Leadership Program, which they expect to complete in 2023.
