Christian Gottwald

Christian Gottwald has extensive work experience in the field of architecture and creative direction. christian has held various roles in different companies over the years. Starting from 2005, they worked as a Project Architect for ads-architekten, where they were involved in project coordination, design, and construction planning. In 2008, they became the CEO of derlichteraum, a position they held until 2013. From 2008 to 2009, they served as a freelance project manager for e.w.enture, handling international brand architecture and interior design projects. In 2009, they joined Controlroom Consult as a Senior Architect. In 2010, they started working at MDlab Cheil as a Senior Designer and Project Manager, responsible for temporary architecture, retail, and exhibitions. christian was later promoted to the position of Creative Director, where they focused on brand architecture in the field of exhibition and retail. christian remained at MDlab Cheil until 2015. In the same year, they worked as a Creative Director at SCHMIDHUBER for a short period. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Creative Director and Key Account Manager at WENGER.ONE. Since 2017, they have been working at Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation mbH, initially as the Brand Image Director and later as the Head of Architecture. Christian's current position is as the Head of Architecture.

Christian Gottwald attended the University of applied sciences Augsburg from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued studies in architecture and urbanism. christian obtained a Diplom degree upon completing their studies at this institution. Later, in 2008, they attended the Lichtakademie Bartenbach for a brief period to specialize in lighting planning and design, earning the Lichtplaner/Lichtdesigner qualification.
