Melissa H. Mowrey

Melissa H. Mowrey is an experienced educational professional with a comprehensive background in program development, administration, and analysis within various educational institutions. Currently serving as a part-time Senior Analyst at Avar Consulting, Inc. since 2013, Mowrey's previous roles include Senior Facilitator/Manager at the American Institutes for Research and Director of Program Improvement and New Initiatives for the District of Columbia Public Schools. Mowrey has also held advisory positions such as Board Member for the Academy of Hope, aligning curriculum and educational strategies for adult literacy programs. Mowrey's early career included significant contributions to Anne Arundel County Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools, where responsibilities ranged from program oversight to curriculum development. Mowrey holds both a Master’s in Administration and Supervision and a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Maryland.
