Daon Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Beginning in 1996, Mitchell served as a Volunteer Leader for AmeriCorps, leading youth volunteers in community service projects. From 1998 to 2000, Mitchell worked as an Assistant Manager at The Wendy's Company. From 2006 to 2015, Mitchell served as a Police Clerk for the City of Muskegon Police, assisting customers with police-related issues. In 2015, Mitchell joined SAF-HOLLAND Inc. as a Service Support Specialist, addressing technical issues and providing customer service. Mitchell then worked as a Tier 2 Help Desk technician at The Iserv Company from 2017 to 2017. In 2017, Mitchell also served as a Cyber Security Intern at Evoqua Water Technologies. From 2018 to 2020, Mitchell was an Information Technology Specialist at Rehmann. Currently, Mitchell is employed as a Tier 2 Technical Support representative at AvaSure.

Daon Mitchell completed their education in Information Assurance and Security at Davenport University from 2013 to 2018, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree and subsequently a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Prior to that, they attended Muskegon Community College between 1994 and 2004, concentrating on Computer Programming with a focus on Specific Applications. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Microsoft Excel 2016 Introductory from Pearson in November 2016, and the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in December 2015.
