Winston Carston

Winston Carston has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Test Development Engineer at AvaSure since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Gentex Corporation as a Materials R&D Scientist from 2016 to 2022. In this role, they focused on high volume laser process optimization, electrical connections, and contacts. Winston also handled basic lab requirements and data analysis using Mathematica. Before that, they worked as a Private Tutor at Ivy Ambitions from 2013 to 2016, tutoring students in math, physics, and AP/ACT prep. Additionally, Winston was a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University from 2011 to 2016, where they conducted research on semiconductors and taught physics labs. Winston also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Laboratory Assistant at Missouri S&T from 2007 to 2011, where they gained experience in synthesis techniques and assisted with astronomy and physics lab activities.

Winston Carston obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2007 to 2011. Winston then pursued further education, earning a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from Michigan State University between 2011 and 2017.
